Audi of America appoints Jeri Ward as Vice President and Chief Communications Officer

  • Michigan native has been with Audi of America since 2007
  • Audi climbed to top three from 13th place in customer experience with Ward directing efforts in her most recent role

 April 17, 2015 | HERNDON, Virginia -- Audi of America today appointed Jeri Ward Vice President and Chief Communications Officer to lead U.S. public relations efforts for the brand as its record-setting growth story continues to unfold.

Ward has been with Audi of America since 2007, and has held her present position as Director, Customer Experience since November 2011. This role was new to Audi of America when she was assigned to build the Customer Experience team into a strategic department focused on customer loyalty, customer experience innovation, and creating an Audi culture capable of consistently creating Audi fans.  

During her time in that most recent role, Audi successfully improved customer experience performance to record highs, including an increase from 13th place in the J.D. Power and Associates CSI rankings to among the top three brands overall the past two years.

“With Jeri as Chief Communications Officer, Audi has a professional who has been instrumental in the transformation of Audi over the past eight years,” said Scott Keogh, President, Audi of America. “She is an auto enthusiast and engineer by background, and has a proven track record of building relationships internally and externally to achieve results.”  

After launching her career in powertrain engineering at General Motors Corp., Ward earned master’s degrees in business and in engineering at Northwestern University, and interned with General Electric. She returned to the car industry in 2001 via a product marketing position with Ford Motor Co. She is a native of New Baltimore, MI.

With Ward’s transition into her new role on May 1, the long-term strategic goal of continuously improving the Audi customer experience will expand throughout the departments at Audi of America.
