Audi of America awards first Audi Drive Progress Grant at Forbes Idea Incubator

  • Forbes Idea Incubator promoted STEM education for women in partnership with NYU Tandon School of Engineering

HERNDON, Virginia, October 31, 2017 – On Saturday, October 21, Audi of America sponsored the Forbes Idea Incubator, a one-day event designed to support science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education for collegiate women.

Held in New York City, the Forbes Idea Incubator challenged female students from the New York University Tandon School of Engineering to develop solutions around a critical issue facing women and girls – reliable, safe and affordable access to transportation.

An extension of Audi’s sponsorship of the 2017 Forbes Women’s Summit held June 12-13 in New York City, the Forbes Idea Incubator served as a platform to present the first Audi Drive Progress Grant, a $50,000 scholarship to NYU Tandon, providing financial assistance for student tuition and related expenses.

“The Forbes Idea Incubator encouraged innovation, creativity and critical thinking, and that, at its most fundamental level, is how progress happens,” said Jeri Ward, senior vice president and chief communications office at Audi of America, who attended and addressed students at the event.
