HERNDON, Virginia, October 5, 2017 – Audi of America President Scott Keogh will give a keynote address today at the One Young World Summit in Bogotá, Colombia.

Scott will speak to how innovation can improve the world and how automation, electrification and shared mobility will bring opportunity to people and society as a whole. The keynote, “Accelerating towards the Future: Audi and the Three Innovations Transforming What Drives Us,” will share how the automotive industry must adapt to new technologies, how innovators have a responsibility to make the world better and what Audi is doing to lead.

This will be Audi’s second consecutive year participating in the summit. One Young World unites young leaders from across the world who are committed to improving the world. The four-day, annual event includes workshops, exhibitions and plenary sessions on education, environment, leadership and government, poverty alleviation and economic development as well as peace and reconciliation.

In addition to Scott, this year’s summit includes keynotes from Kofi Annan, former United Nations secretary general, Paul Polman, CEO of Unilever, Juan Manuel Santos, president of Colombia, and Muhammad Yunus, a Nobel Prize recipient for his work to eradicate poverty through micro-lending.

Ten Audi delegates from five countries will attend the summit, which began yesterday. The delegates from Audi México, AUDI AG, Audi Hungaria, Audi China and Audi of America will join 1,300 young leaders from 196 countries to discuss solutions to society’s most pressing problems.

Attendees discuss issues related to energy, government, entrepreneurship, education and future innovations. Audi delegates’ areas of focus include a psychological counseling program to e-mobility cars powered by renewable energy. Audi delegates submitted their project topics to an internal jury before being selected.

Audi awarded 10 scholarships to summit attendees. These Audi Scholars, five men and five women, come from 10 countries and are given the opportunity to network with colleagues in an international setting.
