During the LA Auto Show and under the limelight Audi showcased the newest members of the portfolio. The e-tron Sportback and RS Q8 were among the biggest Audi stars, making their global debuts at the auto show, followed by the 2020 S6, S7, and S8 models, the Audi RS 5 Panther edition and last but not least, the new Audi RS models - including the RS 6 Avant and RS 7.
It’s electric! The e-tron Sportback
It was a night of lights, camera, and action for the e-tron Sportback, the latest in the Audi electric portfolio, during its global unveil at the LA Auto show pre-night event. As the second fully electric model to join the Audi portfolio, the e-tron Sportback also graced fans with its presence on the stand at the show, allowing face-to-face interaction with the latest all-electric SUV. In addition to being a luxury five-seater SUV with premium features, the e-tron Sportback goes hand-in-hand with Audi’s mission of a cleaner, more sustainable future. By 2025, the brand will deliver 30 electrified models, globally!
A Sporty SUV: RS Q8
The RS Q8 holds a special place for the Audi brand as the very first RS SUV in the U.S. Not only is it the first RS SUV in America, it’s also known to be the fastest production SUV to lap the Nurburgring racetrack with an official time of 7 minutes and 42.2 seconds. At the LA Auto Show, show attendees were able to experience the performance SUV on the stand ahead of becoming available for customer orders in 2020.
Performance stars: 2020 S6, S7 and S8
Also making their U.S. debut, the 2020 S6, S7 and S8 took the stand at the LA Auto Show. The latest S model additions, deliver the prestige of future premium with a performance platform. Paired with dynamic styling, available with the S6, S7 and standard on the S8, is a combination of innovative systems that include dynamic all-wheel steering, a sport differential and quattro all-wheel drive.
I spy a panther: RS 5 Panther edition
A limited addition to the Audi portfolio, with only 100 units available, the RS 5 Panther edition showcases an exclusive treatment to the model. With 75 sportbacks and 25 coupes, the special edition is treated with Audi exclusive Panther Black crystal effect paint, interior enhancements and a unique 21” wheel recognizable from the European RS 4. Interested? Catch the panther while you can. It will be available for customer orders in December 2019.
Fan-favorite: RS 6 Avant
The global fan-favorite may not have debuted at the LA Auto Show, but it was among one of the more popular Audi models on display. Making its debut on U.S. soil at the Malibu Cars and Coffee just days before the show, the RS 6 Avant came red-carpet ready to the LA Auto Show.
Revamped: RS 7
Another RS model to make its U.S. debut at the LA Auto Show was the much anticipated RS 7 Sportback. The all-new RS 7 has been revamped to include more pronounced wheel arches on the five-passenger, five-door coupe, emphasizing a lowered stance and a captivating design.
