Audi RS 3 LMS (TCR)
Despite turbulent weather, Virginia International Raceway (VIR) proceeded with the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge in which Team Fast MD racing celebrated its first victory with the Audi RS 3 LMS.
Due to some weather disruptions, all competitors switched to rain tires. Nick Galante in the Audi from Fast MD racing was the only one to stay on slicks and lost ground on a wet track. However, when race control released the round for a last remaining lap, Galante’s teammate James Vance took the lead and won. This marked the second victory this season for the Audi RS 3 LMS.
Michael Johnson and Stephen Simpson from JDC-Miller Motorsports claimed third place in their Audi RS 3 LMS. And after eight of ten rounds, Gavin Ernstone and Jon Morley in the fourth sport remain the best Audi drivers.

Team Carbahn with Peregrine Racing secured their place at the top of the GS class in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge.
Tyler McQuarrie and Jeff Westphal traveled to the eighth event in Virginia with an advantage of nine points. This driver duo just needed a second place finish with a half-second cap to increase its advantage in the championship to 24 points within the two-hour race.
As a result, with two more events yet to come, the Audi Sport customer racing team is among the favorites for the title.
