Hundreds of women gathered in New York City in June for the annual Forbes Women’s Summit. And as a presenting sponsor of the program since 2017, we returned for another day of inspiration, empowerment and purpose. Tara Rush, senior vice president and chief communications officer at Audi of America, spoke at the summit in a spotlight session called “Paving Your Purpose Path.”
During the event and along with Forbes, we announced the third annual Forbes Idea Incubator - a one-day thinktank for female STEM students in collaboration with NYU Tandon School of Engineering. Winners of the think tank receive the Audi #DriveProgress Grant, a $50,000 grant that provides financial assistance for student tuition and related expenses. This fall, more than 30 university students will gather for a day of ideation, discovery and awards.
The evening preceding the summit, we joined attendees, Forbes and the James Beard Foundation WEL Fellow, Esther Choi, for a special salon dinner at her restaurant Ms. Yoo. The Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Program (WEL), part of the James Beard Foundation Women’s Leadership Programs presented by Audi, is comprised of an annual fellowship for women chefs/owners focused on entrepreneurship and lea dership training.
Summit attendees also played a role as voters on incubator topics, including: how do we prepare for the transformation of moving between traditional car ownership and alternative mobility options like ride-sharing or subscription models; and how do we plan effectively for a combination of mobility solutions that allow for seamless movement across private and public transportation?
Through #DriveProgress, we are committed to cultivating and promoting a culture that enables women to achieve their highest potential by helping remove barriers to equality, inclusivity, growth and development.
