This weekend at the Virginia International Raceway (VIR), Audi Sport customer racing team McCann Racing, with driver Michael McCann, Jr., claimed victory in the TCR Cup. On Saturday, in the first race of the weekend, McCann, Jr., in an Audi RS 3 LMS, finished first with a lead time of 8.8 seconds.
On Sunday, McCann Racing teammate Britt Casey, Jr. won with a 4.0 second advantage after starting from the back of the TCR class field following disqualification in Saturday’s race.
Congratulations also goes to McCann Racing’s Christian Cole, who started second overall in his Audi RS 3 LMS TCR and took a top five finish.
Also taking place this weekend at VIR was the Pirelli GT4 America SprintX, which saw Team Rearden Racing celebrate a trophy win with drivers Vesko Kozarov and Jeff Burton in their Audi R8 LMS GT4 finishing third. Drivers Andy Pilgrim and Adam Poland from Team Doghouse Performance finished in the runner up position.
