Audi collaborates with Reddit for first livestreamed, in-motion AMA series, "Think Faster"

HERNDON, Virginia, September 26, 2017 – Audi of America, in collaboration with Reddit, announces the first-ever livestreamed, in-motion, AMA series to
 launch on the Reddit platform tomorrow, September 27.

As part of Audi’s “Think Faster” campaign promoting the new Audi Sport performance models, the two-part series, will feature live interviews from the passenger seat of the 2018 Audi TT RS, as it’s driven by a professional driver at speeds up to 130 mph around the Willow Springs International Raceway track in California. 

Commentator, Journalist, Musician, and Producer Selema “Sal” Masekela will host the two events, and actors Adam Scott (“Parks and Rec,” “Big Little Lies,” “Step Brothers” and the highly anticipated “Little Evil” on Netflix and “Ghosted” on Fox) and Elizabeth Banks (“The Hunger Games,” “Wet Hot American Summer,” “Power Rangers,” “The Lego Movie” and “Pitch Perfect”) will join in the passenger seat. Adam and Elizabeth will answer questions on the spot – collected from their respective Reddit AMA posts – via YouTube livestream, which will broadcast live from Audi’s Reddit profile page.

It’s an AMA unlike any other."   

The Audi and Reddit collaboration marks the first time a brand has created a unique AMA concept and format specifically to drive Reddit user engagement. Audi is the first auto brand to have a Reddit profile, and it’s the first time an AMA series will be hosted from a brand profile. During “Think Faster,” Audi will take over Reddit’s homepage, driving users to engage with the brand directly and soliciting AMA questions on Audi’s Reddit profile page. 

Audi will also use Google's innovative Lightbox format to promote the series, letting viewers livestream interviews directly from the ad unit.

San Francisco-based MUH-TAY-ZIK | HOF-FER created “Think Faster” in partnership with Reddit. Production partners include PrettyBird & Directors Four Clops; Eli Stonberg and Jeff Greco. Autosport Labs provided auto telemetry and race capture systems for the “Think Faster” production, providing real time data from the Audi Sport TT RS that will be used during the live broadcasts.
